Coins, dried beans, pasta, matchsticks, board-game money, or playing cards from a second deck all work. Pick three item types for three denominations (for example 1 / 5 / 25), give every player an identical bank, and agree on values out loud before the first deal. The weakness: counting is slow and mid-game rebuys get messy.
One player becomes the banker and writes every bet, call, and pot on a sheet. It works for very small games, but betting slows to the banker's pen, all-ins and side pots invite mistakes, and nobody can see stack sizes at a glance — which changes how people play.
Each player opens a free browser room — no app, no account. You deal real cards exactly as before, while bets, blinds, pots, side pots, and rebuys update on every screen in real time. The game plays like it would with a proper chip set, and settlement is automatic at the end.
